South High Drama Mission

The purpose of the Willoughby South Drama program is to collaboratively teach and mentor those involved in ALL aspects of the theatre experience, on-stage, back-stage, orchestrally, technically, hair & makeup and front of house operations. All facets of each production casts student leaders in directly accountable leadership roles with a detailed and well communicated chain of command.

The Goals of the Program Are:

• To develop a lifelong appreciation of live theatre.
• To expose students to accountable leadership opportunities.
• To involve the maximum amount of students from different backgrounds, social groups, and grade levels to reach a better understanding and appreciation of each other's similarities rather than differences.
• To Provide a space and environment that is inclusive & emotionally safe.
